Diseases
Known health disease issues in Ancient Greece included cold/ flu viruses, Ear infections, Malaria, Depression and smallpox/measles.
Cold/Flu
When people had colds and flu viruses, it would generally be fixed by herbalists and they would prescribe cough syrup and rest.
Ear Infections
Malaria
Nobody in Ancient Greek knew what Malaria was, and how to treat it, so it was much more common back then, than today. Healthy adults usually did not die of malaria, but children and old people and sick people often did. Healing shrines, where you could get rest and good food, may have helped some people recover.
Depression
Ancient Greeks were aware of depressions, but did not have any medication to fix it. Instead all types of healers would try to talk the patient through it, you would go to a healing shrine where the change of scenery and a chance to rest might’ve helped the patients with depression.
Smallpox/measles
People with smallpox/measles/plague needed to be given plenty of clean water, rest and nutritious food in order to recover.
